Arts & Indies: Metropolitan Opera Live

Broadcast live from Lincoln Center in New York City.  Presented at The Del Oro Theatre in partnership with InConcert Sierra and Music in the Mountains.

Beginning in 2019, Met Opera Live in HD will move from Del Oro to Sierra Cinemas, 840-C East Main Street in Grass Valley for the remainder of the season.  The move will accommodate those who require easier parking and access.

Admission $22 Adults, $20 Seniors, $18 Students and Children 12 and under.

Fathom Events and the Metropolitan Opera present a broadcast of Wagner's Die Walküre, live in select cinemas nationwide on Saturday, March 30. In what is expected to be a Wagnerian event for the ages, soprano Christine Goerke plays Brünnhilde, Wotan's willful warrior daughter, who loses her immortality in opera's most famous act of filial defiance. Tenor Stuart Skelton and soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek play the incestuous twins Siegmund and Sieglinde. Greer Grimsley sings Wotan. Philippe Jordan conducts.

Fathom Events and the Metropolitan Opera present a broadcast of Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites, live in select cinemas nationwide on Saturday, May 11. Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads an accomplished ensemble in Poulenc's devastating modern masterpiece of faith and martyrdom. Isabel Leonard is the young Blanche de La Force, opposite Met legend Karita Mattila as the First Prioress.
